Barcode Artwork Testing
We have a new service where we can test your barcode artwork, to give you an idea of whether it will scan well.
This is not an official Barcode Verification Report (which costs $59) as required by some Supermarket and Hardware chains. But is is a test using the same equipment and giving the same information.
This test will be done on your artwork – so you can have more confidence about the quality of the barcode before you go to print – or it will tell you what problems there are with the barcode artwork.
To do this test, please purchase the quantity you require ($20 each), and then email a pdf of the barcode artwork to us. The pdf must be A4 or smaller in size, and 100%. We will print it on a laser printer in B&W (so it won’t test any other print colours) and test it, then email the report to you.
You can view some sample reports below. Grades vary from A (excellent) to C (OK) to D & below which are fails.

Barcode Registration
If you purchase Barcode Registration, you will be able to register your barcode number and product information on the International Barcodes Database (information registered on that database filters through to several other major online databases as well). Please enter your barcode number(s) in the “additional information” section on the checkout page. Once we receive your order, we will email you to request proof of ownership (to verify that you are the owner of your barcode). We will then activate your barcode for registration and provide you with instructions on how to register it (please note that Registration is included for free if you purchase one of our Barcode Packages).

QR codes – Custom
Standard QR codes, although easily recognisable, can be an ugly part of product labelling or your design. We can make your QR code with colour and logos to better match your brand image.
If you have a good designer, they can modify the QR codes for you. However, this is often expensive, and sometimes they can inadvertently damage the actual QR code, rendering it unscannable.
We have dedicated designers who can provide custom QR code designs for you.
This product includes;
- a static or dynamic QR code (see below for the difference between static and dynamic)
- QR code images supplied in 3 formats (PDF, PNG & SVG)
In the comments box on the checkout page, tell us about your company’s brand and how you will be using the QR code. Please let us know the colours you would like. Please email us your logo as a PNG or JPEG file. Then our designers can create a custom QR code for you.
Any additional design time is charged at $ 15 per hour.
This example shows the same QR code in original and customised versions.
There are limits to the changes we can make to a QR code, as the overriding aim is to maintain its ability to be scanned. We can introduce two colours (with gradients), add a custom logo to the centre and alter the QR code’s foreground elements.

Static and Dynamic
STATIC QR Codes
Static QR codes encode your URL directly in the QR code. They are permanent. They will work as long as your website URL doesn’t change. They can’t be changed, as the URL is encoded directly in the QR Code. They have unlimited scans. Static QR codes can also be used for things other than URLs, such as encoding text, v-business cards, sending emails, or SMS messages.DYNAMIC QR Codes
These utilise our Dynamic QR Code service, which allows the target URL to be changed repeatedly in the future if necessary.Unlimited scans: Scans of the Dynamic QR Code are UNLIMITED so long as you don’t abuse the QR code with millions of scans that cause technical problems, such as crashed servers.
Functions for life: The Dynamic QR Code, with its redirection capability, will function FREE for two years and will continue to function after that for as long as you pay a two-yearly fee of $20.
Unlimited redirection of the target URL: Redirect your dynamic QR code at any time via our customer portal.
Custom Tracking Reports: You can pay us for tracking reports, with prices depending on frequency, report complexity, and the number of QR codes being tracked. Please inquire for details.

ITF-14 Barcode images
Here, you can purchase ITF-14 images. Once the order has been received, these will be emailed to you in standard size in 3 formats (.pdf, .svg, .png).
Please specify in the ‘additional information’ section what EAN-13 barcode you need the ITF-14 created from – up to 10 ITF-14 Images can be created from each EAN-13 code).
If you are purchasing an EAN-13 barcode at the same time as an ITF-14 barcode, then type “n/a” into the ‘additional information’ section (we will assign you an EAN-13 barcode and use that barcode to create the ITF-14 carton code images).

DYNAMIC QR Codes
- Encodes via a host link URL to land on your URL, e.g. https://myqr.pro/1234, which directs immediately to your target URL https://yourwebsite.com/sale
- Functions for life: It will function for the first two years and continue to function if you pay a hosting fee every two years.
- FREE Unlimited Redirection of the Target URL: When you make an initial purchase, specify a URL. After that, you can redirect your dynamic QR code via our website portal at any time, day or night.
- Unlimited scans are available so long as you don’t abuse the QR code with millions of scans that cause technical problems, such as crashed servers. Please see our fair use policy.
- $40 gets you two years of tracking. Tracking shows how often and in which country your QR code is scanned. To learn more about tracking, please see TRACKING REPORTS.
- Dynamic QR codes are ideal for changing the target URL for links to technical reports, marketing promotions, competitions, or new listings.
STATIC QR Codes
